The Ministry of Energy proposes to temporarily suspend the ongoing tender for an offshore wind farm and review the terms and conditions of the tender, in order to ensure that the impact on the final electricity prices paid by consumers after the tender is implemented is as small as possible. A draft Government resolution<\/a> to this effect has been prepared and submitted for institutional coordination.<\/strong><\/p>

Considering that the tender has already been announced, in order to ensure that the review and evaluation of the tender conditions are implemented as soon as possible, it is requested that the conclusions on the draft Resolution be submitted as a matter of urgency within 3 working days from the publication of the draft Resolution.<\/p>

Once the government has made a decision to resume tender procedures, the tender procedures would be resumed within the time limits and procedure established by the Law on Renewable Resources.<\/p>

It is worth recalling that on November 18 last year, the National Energy Regulatory Council (NERC) re-announced a tender, which provides the opportunity to receive the right to the incentive. The developer selected through the tender would develop a 700 MW offshore wind farm in the Baltic Sea. The tender participants must submit applications and documents to the NERC by March 18, 2025.<\/p>
