The tender for the offshore wind farm is being suspended in order to improve its conditions for consumers

The Government approved the proposal of the Ministry of Energy to temporarily suspend the tender for the offshore wind park announced on November 18, 2024, and to review the terms of the tender.

The tender has been suspended in order to assess and review the requirements and conditions for the tender procedure set out in the legislation. The main objective of the decision is to ensure that the impact on the final electricity prices paid by consumers after the implementation of the tender and the construction of the wind park is as small as possible.

The improvement of the tender conditions will be carried out by initiating amendments to legal acts.

The Government supports the development of offshore wind energy, but this must be done while ensuring the least possible impact on consumers and properly balancing the goals of electricity consumers, potential developers, and the development of renewable energy on land.
